FAQ (Frequently Ask Questions)
1. Do I need a professional to install the frame?
Although it is best to have two people in order to be gentle around your television, the frame is quite simple to install. There are one or two straps that go around the back of the TV. Once you put the straps around the TV and the frame on the front, you just tighten the straps.
2. How important are the measurements for the TV?
This is the most important role that you play. Please use an accurate tape measure. We want to ensure you are happy with the results and there is nothing worse than having to send back a frame because the measurements were not correct.
3. What if I want something not available in your Build Your Own frame area?
Contact us via chat, email, or phone. We are more than happy to match a color, use a particular wood, or create a special design.
4. Do I need an infrared remote relay kit?
This will depend on your television’s sensor and your home theater system. Some systems work fine with the frames while others will prevent the remote from working at extreme angles and may lower the sensitivity of the remote. If your remote is greatly effected you can always order a remote relay system from us. It may be a good idea to work with a professional installer. We can recommend a video installer or home theater specialist if you like.
5. Can purchase my frame unfinished?
Yes. Select any color through our system, then specify “unfinished” in the Special Instructions. Don’t worry! We always call to confirm every order.You can then finish the frame as you desire. We also offer a clear coat if you prefer.
6. Does the frame mount to the wall?
No. The frame mounts directly the TV. You must use a wall mount for your TV. If you do not already have the TV mounted, we will be happy to recommend a mount for you or a local installation specialist.
7. Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes. If you are a hotel, sports bar, casino, or other commercial establishment, we can offer bulk discounts for 3 frames or more.
8. Does a screen saver effect the life or picture of my television?
You need to be careful when using a screen saver. Most screen savers will rotate the picture, preventing Plasma burn. However, some waterfall and fireplace may cause issues. Read carefully the instructions that come with the DVD. Any time your TV is displaying an image the life of the TV is being reduced. Ultimately, the user is responsible for the DVD and TV.
